Pietro Baroni is full professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia since 2006. He is author of more than 150 scientific papers and of a patent. His Scopus H-Index is 21 over 2302 citations, while his Google Scholar H-index is 27 over 4034 citations. His current research interests are mainly focused on theory and applications of computational argumentation. He has been active in several national and international research projects and is regularly invited in program committees of international conferences and to review for top-quality scientific journals, PhD theses, and research proposals globally. He has given several invited talks in the context of international conferences and of research visits. He has been pivotal in several scientific initiatives promoting the development of the research community of computational argumentation. In particular, he has been a founding member of the steering committee of the COMMA (Computational Models of Argument) conference series and since 2016 he serves (together with prof. Bart Verheij) as Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Argument & Computation. He has taught courses on various topics of Computer Science and Engineering at Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. level at the University of Brescia and has given lectures in doctoral courses at international level. He has supervised more than 220 Bachelor and Master theses and co-supervised 3 Ph.D. theses. He has regularly assumed administrative responsibilities concerning educational planning and management at the University of Brescia, where he also served as vice Director of the Department of Information Engineering.

Stefano Bistarelli is full professor in INF/01 at DMI-UniPG. He previously carried out research at the University of Chieti-Pescara, the IIT-CNR in Pisa, the University of Padua and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Two degrees at the University of Pisa (Information Science and Computer Science), then a PhD in Computer Science with a thesis awarded by the Italian chapter of EATCS and AIxIA and then published by Springer. Knight of the Republic for scientific merits, he is Director of the UniPG nodes of the CINI Research Lab in CyberSecurity and Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems, Coordinator of the national GDL in Blockchain and Distributed Ledgers and of the GDL in Argumentation of AIxIA, Vice-President of the Italian Chapter of EATCS, IEEE Senior Member and member of the research group in KR of the IFIP technical committee in Artificial Intelligence. Associated editor of Frontiers in Blockchain Smart Contracts, member of the Editorial Board of Argument & Computation (IOSPress) and Artificial Intelligence (IOSPress). More than 200 censored products in DBLP and more than 250 in Google Scholar, with a significant number of citations (more than 2300 and 4500) obtained in Scopus and Scholar, respectively. He has always carried out research in AI and cybersecurity and was recently ranked among the top scientists in Artificial Intelligence in the world by a Stanford survey published in PLOS (top 3,000 out of more than 200,000 surveyed).

Sergio Flesca is Full Professor at the University of Calabria from 2017. He took his PhD in “Ingegneria dei Sistemi ed Informatica” with a thesis entitled “Query Languages for Graph-like Databases” at the University of Calabria. He is author of more than 110 scientific papers and of a patent. His Scopus H-Index is 18 over 1537 citations, while his Google Scholar H- index is 26 over 3276 citations. His current research interests are focused on theory and applications of computational argumentation, Process Mining, Databases. He has been active in several national and international research projects and is regularly invited in program committees of international conferences and to review for top-quality scientific journals. He has taught courses on various topics of Computer Engineering at Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. level and has given lectures in doctoral courses at international level. He has supervised several Bachelor and Master theses and supervised 4 Ph.D. theses. He has regularly assumed administrative responsibilities concerning educational planning and management at the University of Calabria, where he is currently serving ad member of the board of directors.

Irene Russo is researcher at the Institute of Computational Linguistics "Antonio Zampolli" since 2017. Previously she has been Post-Doc at the same institute since 2009. She holds a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Pisa. Her current research interests are focused on computational semantics, sentiment analysis, textual annotation, and classification of emotions. She regularly took part in natural language processing evaluation campaigns about sentiment and emotion analysis, both as organisers and as participants. She has been active in several national and international research projects and is regularly invited to international conference programme committees.
