Stefano Bistarelli is full professor in INF/01 at DMI-UniPG. He previously carried out research at the University of Chieti-Pescara, the IIT-CNR in Pisa, the University of Padua and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Two degrees at the University of Pisa (Information Science and Computer Science), then a PhD in Computer Science with a thesis awarded by the Italian chapter of EATCS and AIxIA and then published by Springer. Knight of the Republic for scientific merits, he is Director of the UniPG nodes of the CINI Research Lab in CyberSecurity and Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems, Coordinator of the national GDL in Blockchain and Distributed Ledgers and of the GDL in Argumentation of AIxIA, Vice-President of the Italian Chapter of EATCS, IEEE Senior Member and member of the research group in KR of the IFIP technical committee in Artificial Intelligence. Associated editor of Frontiers in Blockchain Smart Contracts, member of the Editorial Board of Argument & Computation (IOSPress) and Artificial Intelligence (IOSPress). More than 200 censored products in DBLP and more than 250 in Google Scholar, with a significant number of citations (more than 2300 and 4500) obtained in Scopus and Scholar, respectively. He has always carried out research in AI and cybersecurity and was recently ranked among the top scientists in Artificial Intelligence in the world by a Stanford survey published in PLOS (top 3,000 out of more than 200,000 surveyed).
